Coorparoo Cricket Club C3 player Todd Duncan won the 2017/18 Paul Stafford Medal on Saturday night.

Held at the Brewhouse in South Brisbane, Duncan polled 15 votes with a three-way tie for second – Marc Fidler, Shane Riley and Andrew Swindells – on 14 votes and Lachlan Ashley finishing third on 12 votes.  Duncan's win was celebrated with an impromptu rendition of Slim Dusty's classic "Duncan" (I love to have a beer with Duncan).

Duncan played 15 games, taking 37 wickets at 13.8 with best figures of 5/50.

It capped a great year for the C3s, making the grand final against Logan.

Individual team awards were handed out, with Liam Newman (batting) and Riley (bowling, all-rounder, fielding) winning the A1 awards. Steve Pidcock (batting), Fidler (bowling), Ashley (all-rounder) and Luke Coyne (fielding) won the B3 awards. Scott Burchill (batting), Duncan (bowling, all-rounder) and Liam Fogarty (fielding) won the C3 awards.
Martin Quarrell (100 games), Myles Topp (100), Jack Johnstone (150), John Fuller (200) and Pidcock (250) were awarded with game milestone medals.

Coorparoo will open the 2018/19 Sub-District cricket season with their AGM later this year.
