The Coorparoo Kangaroos had a poor round two in Sub-District Cricket, with three losses from three completed games, though the A1s are in a good position in their two-dayer.
Playing Napoleons at Marchant Park 10, the A1s are 3/112 at stumps, after Jakson Thiele (3/25), Nick Bartlett (2/21) and Myles Topp (2/21) combined to dismiss Napoleans for 142. Chris Dishot (30) and Jeffrey Lutri (26) helped get Coorparoo to within 30 runs of a first innings win. Dishot passed 1,000 runs for Coorparoo.
The B1s lost by 40 runs to Springwood at Oliver Sporting Complex Eagleby. Sam Rogers took 3/31 as Springwood made 6/160. In reply, Coorparoo was dismissed for 120.
The B3s lost to the Muddies by 107 runs at Judy Holt Park Oval 1. Chasing the Muddies’ 6/197 (Steven Harvey 3/12), Coorparoo fell for 90.
The C4s lost to the Brisbane Saints by seven wickets at Whites Hill Reserve (Ray Little Turf Oval). Batting first, Coorparoo made 7/123 (Harshana Weerasinghe 41, Hugh Lees-Field 23). The Saints reached 3/124 in 30 overs.
Sub-District Cricket Round Three (another round on one-dayers) begins next Saturday from 12:30pm, as well as day two of the A1s round two game.
