A1s Win in Round 11

Coorparoo finished Sub-District Cricket Round 11 with one win. It was a limited-overs round for the Australia Day long weekend.


The A1s beat Ashgrove Astronauts by five wickets at Enoggera Memorial Park. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Ashgrove for 98 in 38 overs. Xavier McCluskey (3/8), Liam Lanza (3/14), and Lachlan Draper (2/30) took eight wickets between them. James Collins top-scored with 39 as Coorparoo (5/99) reached the target in 20.5 overs.


The B2s lost by three wickets to Bracken Ridge at McPherson Park. David Hedditch (40 not out) and Nitin Kashyap (22) top scored as Coorparoo was dismissed for 129 in 34.4 overs. Kristian Haikal (3/32), Liam Fogarty (2/4), and Kashyap (2/33) shared the wickets as Bracken Ridge reached 7/133 in 31.3 overs.


The C1s lost by six wickets to Kuraby Knights at Wally Tate Park. Batting first, Coorparoo made 7/125 in 35 overs (Toryn Lee 27, Rod Taylor 23). Manish Pal took 2/25 as Kuraby reached 4/126 in 25.1 overs.


The C3s lost to Souths Juniors by 26 runs at CJ Greenfield. Souths made 8/144 in 35 overs (Robert Guglielmi 3/24, Marc Fidler 2/17, Michael McInerney 2/36). McInerney (39) and Pragasam Sorubaraj (23) top scored as Coorparoo replied with 8/118 in 35 overs.


Sub-District Cricket Round 12 - a return to two-days - starts next Saturday.
