Coorparoo finished Sub-District Cricket Round 1 2024/25 with two wins from three one-day games.
The A1s beat Wellington Point by six wickets at Marchant Park (oval 10). Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Wellington Point for 106 in 28.5 overs. Todd Duncan took 4/16, Simon Fynes-Clinton 2/16, and Jacob McInerney 2/22. In reply, Ethan Bowditch-Wharton scored 51 not out as the A1s (4/108) chased the target in 19 overs.
The B3s defeated Indooroopilly Districts by 17 runs at CJ Greenfield. Batting first, Coorparoo made 153 in 34.2 overs. Steve Pidcock top-scored with 33 and Julian Hedditch scored 27. Liam Fogarty (2/22), Charlie Wilkinson (2/24), and Amandeep Thatai (2/29) took six wickets between them as Indooroopilly made 9/136 in 35 overs.
The C3s lost to the Qld Lions Blue by nine wickets at Bellbowrie Sports (oval 2). Batting first, Coorparoo made 133 in 28.2 overs, with a half-century to Ken Parry (55). The Lions (1/138) reached the target in 21.4 overs.
Sub-District Cricket Round 2 - the first round of two-dayers - begins next Saturday.
