Coorparoo finished Sub-District Cricket Round 5 with three wins.
The A1s defeated Indooroopilly Districts by 10 wickets at Moore Park (George Watt Oval). Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Indooroopilly for 104 (Josh Saul 3/37, Chris Dishot 3/19, Kaleb Auld 2/13). Hayden Lanza (65 not out), captain Jeff Lituri (47), and Patrick Cameron (39) helped Coorparoo to 239, a lead of 135. Auld (3/35) and Dishot (3/36) then dismissed Indro for 140. Needing six runs to win, Dishot hit the required runs in the first over.
The B3s defeated Cleveland Thornlands on first innings at Wynnum Memorial Park. After making 287 (Ben Corling 71, Nitin Kashyap 28, Simon Fynes-Clinton 27 not out, Amandeep Thatai 24, Harshana Weerasinghe 21), Coorparoo dismissed Cleveland for 106, a lead of 181. James Collins took 5/25, Thatai 3/51, and Ken Parry 2/30. Kashyap took 6/17 in the second innings as Cleveland reached 8/57 by stumps.
The C4s defeated Rochedale South by 17 runs at Brisbane State High Sports Complex (oval 4). Batting first, Coorparoo made 68 and dismissed Rochedale for 40 (captain Marc Fidler 6/40). Leading by 28, Coorparoo was dismissed for 80 in their second innings (Rod Taylor 32, Julian Hedditch 28), a lead of 108. Michael McInerney (3/13), Fidler (3/24), and Sean Andrews (2/28) combined to dismiss Rochedale for 91.
The B1s lost on first innings to Cleveland Thornlands at Henry Ziegenfusz Park (oval 2). Chasing 205 (Todd Duncan 5/53), Coorparoo was dismissed for 103 (William Heaver 41, Lachlan Ashley 26) to trail by 102. Heaver then made a century (102 not out), and Dan Olejniczak 47, as Coorparoo declared at 5/200.
Sub-District Cricket Round 6 begins next Saturday.
