Three Rooboys Wins in Round 13

Coorparoo finished Sub-District Cricket Round 13 with three wins, with all games played as limited-overs fixtures after the first day was washed out.


Coorparoo life member Marc Fidler took his 800th wicket, Steve Pidcock passed 7,000 runs, and Jason McIntosh took seven wickets, as the C3s defeated Brisbane Saints by 178 runs at Bottomely Park. Returning to their former home ground, the Rooboys posted 6/220 in 35 overs, with a half-century to Michael McInerney (74), 37 not out to Pidcock, 33 to Jack Fidler, and 27 to Pragasam Sorubaraj. McIntosh took 7/13 and Fidler 2/7 as the Saints were dismissed for 42 in 20 overs.


The A1s defeated Pine Rivers by six wickets at Paul Jackson Oval. Batting first, Pine Rivers were dismissed for 103 in 34 overs (James Collins 3/12, Liam Lanza 2/16, Oliver Civil 2/21). Collina scored 70 as Coorparoo (4/104) won in 17.5 overs.


The B2s defeated the Ashgrove Astronauts by 29 runs at Alan Pettigrew Oval 2. Batting first, Coorparoo made 9/109 off 35 overs (Manoj Kumar 32). Kristan Haikal (4/25), Liam Fogarty (3/13), and Jacob McInerney (2/3) combined to dismiss Ashgrove for 80 in 19.2 overs.


The C1s lost to Bracken Ridge by seven wickets at McPherson Park oval 1. Batting first, Coorparoo were dismissed for 110 in 31.4 overs (Joe Johnathan 28). Bracken Ridge (3/111) reached the target in 21.2 overs.


Sub-District Round 14 - the final reguar season round - begins next Saturday.
