Two Rooboys Wins in Round 3

Coorparoo finished Sub-District Round 3 with two wins.
The B2s beat Taringa by six wickets at Judy Holt Park. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Taringa for 52 in 24.2 overs, with five wickets to Nitin Kashyap (5/10), and two wickets to Liam Edwards (2/10). Coorparoo (4/53) chased the target in 15.2 overs.
The C1s beat Ashgrove by 25 runs at Enoggera Memorial Park. Defending 129 (Toryn Lee 27 not out, Manish Pal 24), Coorparoo dismissed Ashgrove for 104 (Cale Beswick 4/39, Pal 2/15, Ken Parry 2/16).
The A1s beat the Gold Crest Cobras by three wickets at Finsbury Park. Batting first, Coorparoo made 6/173 in 40 overs (Lachlan Draper 47, Jeffrey Lituri 45, James Collins 29). Draper and Lituri compiled 85 for the third wicket. Gold Crest (7/174) reached the target in 38.4 overs. Hayden Lanza took 3/41.
The C3s lost by 51 runs to the Northern Lions Gladiators at Judy Holt Park 2. Chasing 153 (Sean Andrews 3/38, Michael Westerman 2/23), Coorparoo was dismissed for 102 (Michael McInerney 47). Rod “Plucka” Taylor celebrated his 349th Coorparoo game, passing Nathan Dadds as the most capped Rooboy.
