Coorparoo made a strong start to Sub-District Cricket Round 10.
The C3s have already won on first innings against Brisbane Saints at Alan Pettigrew Oval 2. Andrew Swindells took 5/11 (supported by Marc Fidler's 2/7 and Michael McInerney's 2/14) to dismiss the Saints for 68. Ross Freiberg scored 65 not out as Coorparoo reached 4/91 by stumps, leading by 23 runs. Jason McIntosh became the 38th Coorparoo players to reach 100 games (with a highest score of 49).
The A1s are one wicket away from a first innings win against the Gold Crest Cobras at Finsbury Park. Batting first, Coorparoo made 111 (Lachlan Draper 34). Ben Mably took 5/11 (and Liam Lanza 2/13) as Gold Crest reached 9/72 by stumps, trailing by 39 runs.
The B2s need 73 more runs to beat Valley DCC at Indooroopilly State High School. Valley made 170 batting first (Nitin Kashyap 3/23, Jacob McInerney 2/26, Kristan Haikal 2/45). Coorparoo reached 1/70 by stumps (Manoj Kumar 34, James Paterson 29 not out, Mathew Grace 28 not out).
The C1s have a big run chase against Everton Districts at CJ Greenfield. Batting first, Everton made 259 (Ken Parry 2/33). Coorparoo reached 3/38 by stumps, trailing by 221 runs.
