One win for Rooboys in Round 4

Coorparoo finished Sub-District Cricket Round 4 with one win and two first innings draws.


The A1s narrowly missed an outright win against Ashgrove at Filmer Park. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Ashgrove for 81, with Hayden Lanza taking 5/14 and Xavier McClusky taking 2/13. In reply, Coorparoo declared at 9/233, a lead of 152 (Ethan Bowditch-Wharton 70 not out, Jeffrey Lituri 50, Chris Dishot 47). Oliver Civil took 2/12 as Ashgrove reached 7/98 by stumps.


The B2s drew with Springwood at Oliver Sporting Complex. Manoj Kumar scored 151 as the B2s declared at 8/335.. Kumar and Matt Simmons (63) compiled 188 for the fourth wicket, while Nitin Kashyap made 31 not out. Kristan Haikal took 4/98 as Springwood reached 7/258.


The C3s drew on first innings with Souths Juniors at SomerFields (Somerville House). Batting first, Coorparoo made 181 (Connor Freiberg 40, Ross Frieberg 38, Michael McInerney 32). Souths reached 9/153 in reply (Robert Guglielmi 2/8, McInerney 2/15).


The C1s lost outright against Bulimba at Bulimba Memorial Park. Batting first, Coorparoo were dismissed for 100 (Gautham Nair 33). Bulimba replied with 4/232 declared, a lead of 132. Coorparoo was dismissed for 69 in their second innings (Nair 24), losing by an innings and 63 runs.
