Rooboys' Strong Start to Round 14

Coorparoo had a strong start to Sub-District Cricket Round 14.
Three Coorparoo sides entered the last round in finals contention: A1s (third), B2s (third), and C3s (second).
The A1s are in a strong position against Indooroopilly Districts at Moore Park (George Watt Oval). Batting first, Coorparoo made 152, with half-centuries to Hayden Lanza (60 not out) and Ben Mably (50). Indooroopilly reached 2/20 at stumps, trailing by 132 runs.
The C1s have already won on first innings against the Rochedale South Vipers at Peter Gallagher Oval. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Rochedale for 70, with six wickets between Manish Pal (3/14) and Ken Parry (3/18). Joe Jonathan scored 55 as Coorparoo reached 8/109 by stumps, a lead of 39 runs.
The opening days of the B2s game (against Taringa Rovers at Indooroopilly State High School) and C3s game (against Redland Sharks at Charlie Buckler Memorial Sportsground) was washed out. Both games will be 35-over matches next Saturday when Round 14 concludes.
