Rooboys' Strong Start to Round 8

Coorparoo started Sub-District Round 8 with first innings leads for the A1s, B2s, and C3s.

The A1s lead by 78 runs against Pine Rivers at Brisbane State High Sports Complex (oval 2). Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Pine Rivers for 79, with Ben Mably (4/13), James Collins (2/2), and Liam Lanza (2/7) taking eight wickets between them. Coorparoo reached 2/157 by stumps (Nic Machado 41 not out, Mably 40 not out, Lachlan Draper 34, Chris Dishot 30).

The B2s lead by 23 runs against Cleveland Cougars at Henry Ziegenfusz Park (oval 2). Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Cleveland for 83 (Jacob McInerney 4/17, Liam Fogarty 3/15, Amandeep Thatai 2/12). Thatai (28 not out), Matt Simmons (27 not out), David Hedditch (23), and Manoj Kumar (22) guided Coorparoo to 3/106 by stumps.

The C3s lead by 98 runs against Ashgrove at Carseldine Sporting Complex. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Ashgrove for 105 (Michael McInerney 4/14, Matthew Brown 3/18, Jacques Breet 2/27). Coorparoo reached 8/203 in reply (Ross Freiberg 60, McInerney 46 not out, Sam Rogers 41), a lead of 98.

The C1s have a tough first innings battle against Kuraby Knights at Judy Holt Park 1. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Kuraby for 148 (Liam Bulloch 4/13). Coorparoo reached 8/72 by stumps, trailing by 76.
