Solid Start For Rooboys in Round 5

Coorparoo had a solid start to Sub-District Cricket Round 5.
The A1s need six wickets for a first innings win over Brookfield United at Brookfield Showgrounds. Batting first, Coorparoo made 166 (Hayden Lanza 50). Brookfield reached 4/74 by stumps, trailing by 92 runs.
The B2s also need six wickets for a first innings win over Valley DCC at Gibson Park (oval 2 - south). Defending 130, Coorparoo reduced Valley to 4/69 by stumps (Todd Duncan 2/13), leading by 61. James Paterson (31) and Manoj Kumar (29) top-scored in Coorparoo's first innings.
The C1s are in trouble against Bulimba at Brisbane State High Sports Complex (oval 2). Chasing Bulimba's 221 (Charlie Wilkinson 3/40, Liam Bulloch 2/18, Ollie Leslie 2/25, Sean Andrews 2/34), Coorparoo reached 5/55 by stumps (Joe Jonathan 38), trailing by 166.
The C3s are well-placed against Valley DCC at Jim Neibling Oval. Andrew Swindells scored 82 as Coorparoo made 245, supported by Ross Freiberg (25) and Connor Freiberg (23). Valley will resume at 0/20, trailing by 225.
Sub-District Cricket Round 5 concludes next Saturday.
