Strong Start for Rooboys in Round 4

Coorparoo made a strong start to Sub-District Cricket Round 4 - the first round of two-dayers.
The A1s have already won on first innings against Ashgrove at Filmer Park. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Ashgrove for 81, with Hayden Lanza taking 5/14 and Xavier McClusky taking 2/13. In reply, openers Jeffrey Lituri (50) and Chris Dishot (47) compiled 95 as Coorparoo reached 5/125 by stumps.
Manoj Kumar scored 151 as the B2s dominated Springwood at Oliver Sporting Complex. Kumar and Matt Simmons (63) compiled 188 for the fourth wicket, while Nitin Kashyap made 31 not out, as Coorparoo declared at 8/335. Kristan Haikal took 2/34 as Springwood reached 4/70 by stumps.
The C3s built a strong platform against Souths Juniors at SomerFields (Somerville House). Batting first, Coorparoo made 181 (Connor Freiberg 40, Ross Frieberg 38, Michael McInerney 32). Souths reached 0/9 by stumps.
The C1s have already lost on first innings against Bulimba at Bulimba Memorial Park. Batting first, Coorparoo were dismissed for 100 (Gautham Nair 33). Bulimba replied with 4/232 declared, a lead of 132. Coorparoo reached 0/18 in their second innings at stumps.
Round 4 concludes next Saturday.
