Strong Start for Rooboys in Round 6

Coorparoo had a solid start to Sub-District Cricket Round 6.
The C3s have already won on first innings against WPC at Brisbane High State Sports Complex (oval 2). Michael McInerney took five wickets (5/10), supported by Andrew Swindells (2/7) and Connor Freiberg (2/7), as WPC made 46. McInerney backed that up with 71 not out, putting on an unbeaten 76 with Jack Fidler (17 not out) for the sixth wicket, as Coorparoo reached 5/158 by stumps, a lead of 112.
The A1s need seven wickets to beat Peninsula at Filmer Park. Batting first, Coorparoo made 220, with fifties to Ben Mably (81) and Lachlan Draper (64), while Xaver McClulskey scored 29 not out. Mably and Draper put on 116 for the fourth wicket. McCluskey took 2/5 as Peninsula reached 3/11 by stumps, trailing by 109 runs.
The B2s are in a tight clash against Bracken Ridge at Carseldine Sporting Complex. Kristan Haikal took 6/24 and Todd Duncan 2/28 as Bracken Ridge made 156. Coorparoo reached 3/55 at stumps (Manoj Kumar 31), trailing by 101 runs.
The C1s need eight wickets to beat Rochedale South Vipers at Jim Neibling Oval. Batting first, the C1s made 183 (Ben Corling 41, Toryn Lee 24, Joe Johnthan 25, Charlie Wilkinson 25). The Vipers reached 2/104 by stumps (Wilkinson 2/21)
Sub-District Cricket Round 6 concludes next Saturday.
