Coorparoo finished Round 8 with an outright win and two first innings wins.
The C3s defeated Ashgrove by an innings and three runs at Carseldine Sporting Complex. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Ashgrove for 105 (Michael McInerney 4/14, Matthew Brown 3/18, Jacques Breet 2/27). Coorparoo reached 9/221 declared in reply (McInerney 64 not out, Ross Freiberg 60, Sam Rogers 41), a lead of 116. Coorparoo dismissed Ashgrove a second time for 113. Wicketkeeper Jonathan Job Sorubaraj finished with five dismissals, the first time he's achieved that at Coorparoo.
The B2s defeated the Cleveland Cougars on first innings at Henry Ziegenfusz Park (oval 2). Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Cleveland for 83 (Jacob McInerney 4/17, Liam Fogarty 3/15, Amandeep Thatai 2/12). Thatai (55), Matt Simmons (27 not out), David Hedditch (23), and Manoj Kumar (22) guided Coorparoo to 154, a led of 71 runs. Cleveland made 112 in their second innings (Myles Topp 4/24, Kristan Haikal 3/39).
The A1s won on first innings against Pine Rivers at Brisbane State High Sports Complex (oval 2). Day two was abandoned as Pine Rivers forfeited due to injury. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Pine Rivers for 79, with Ben Mably (4/13), James Collins (2/2), and Liam Lanza (2/7) taking eight wickets between them. Coorparoo reached 2/157 by stumps (Nic Machado 41 not out, Mably 40 not out, Lachlan Draper 34, Chris Dishot 30).
The C1s lost by 211 runs against Kuraby Knights at Judy Holt Park 1. Bowling first, Coorparoo dismissed Kuraby for 148 (Liam Bulloch 4/13). Coorparoo were dismissed for 98, then Kuraby declared at 4/194 (Theodore Georga 2/45), setting Coorparoo 245 to win. Coorparoo replied with 33 in 16.2 overs.
Sub-District Cricket Round 9 - the final round before the Christmas/New Year break - begins next Saturday.
