Rooboys Open With Two Wins

Coorparoo opened the 2025/26 Sub-District season (limited-overs games) with two wins and two losses in Round 1.

The A1s defeated Peninsula by 65 runs at Filmer Park. Batting first, Hayden Lanza (59 not out) and James Collins (59) scored half-centuries as Coorparoo made 8/192, while Jeffrey Lituri scored 31. Steven Harvey (3/22), Xavier McClusky (2/8), William Carruth (2/25), and Jacob McInerney (2/35) dismissed Peninsula for 127.

The C2s defeated Moggill by 32 runs at Bellbowrie Sports (oval 2 – turf). Defending 128 (Shane Ford 31), Coorparoo dismissed Moggill for 96. Manish Pal (3/12), Ollie Leslie (2/15), and Charlie Wilkinson (2/23) took seven wickets between them.

The B2s lost by 34 runs against Cleveland at Gibson Park – oval 2 (south). Chasing 109, Coorparoo were dismissed for 75. Liam Fogarty took 3/13, Cale Beswick 3/15, and Kristan Haikal 3/22.

The C3s lost to Valley DCC by seven wickets at Marchant Park (oval 6). Ross Freiberg (34) and Pragasam Sorubaraj (31) top scored as Coorparoo made 8/123 in 35 overs. Valley (3/128) chased the target in 22.4 overs (Marc Fidler 2/15).
